Dr. Nathan Box, DO, FAOCO-HNS, FAAOA

Dr. Box is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat specialist, allergy doctor, and surgeon. He graduated from Kansas City University of Medical and Biosciences and completed his residency at Freeman Health System.

He is an explorer, adventurer, painter, runner, hunter, and most of all--a father.

Dr. Akuna graduated from Kansas City University of Medical and Biosciences and completed his residency at Altoona Family Medicine.

He is a caring Physician who has dedicated his professional life to improving the health of his patients through a trusted family medical clinic.  Most comment that they love his willingness to listen and provide effective medical care.

Regan was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri and has 21 years experience as a Registered Nurse and as a Nurse Practitioner.

Regan is a licensed clinician and is dedicated to expanding access to care and transforming health and wellness through patient-centered, team-based medical practice.

Dr. Melanie Akuna is the daughter of the Dr. Bruce Akuna you already know and love! She continues the family tradition of comprehensive and compassionate care centered on physician-patient partnership approach. 

She is board certified in Internal Medicine, practicing adult-only primary care.  She attended medical school at Trinity School of Medicine in St. Vincent and the Grenadines then returned home to complete her internal medicine training here in Joplin.  

She is married with 3 rescue dogs and 4 leopard geckos. Outside of medicine she enjoys camping, hiking, and nail polish.
